Proximity is probably around 80-90% of the driving force behind choosing a team. If it's not that, it because they got introduced to a sport because of a player or they or their family were transplants

Nope. I notice people around here seem to be split between toronto, montreal and boston. I always wondered why, but never asked because then I'd be sitting there talking sports. At least online if it gets dull I can close the page

Alright if you’re not being a faggot and asking sincerely, I’ll bite. I’m a fan of Denver/Colorado teams both because of proximity and family/friends. They were always around me both at home and other places. The exception being baseball with the Seattle Mariners. The Colorado Rockies are pathetic and my older brother who died liked Seattle.
