For 3 seasons he is never acknowledged as being gay. The character is meant to be deeply closeted. Now in season 4 it’s just openly acknowledged by everyone? Well fine, but that’s a retcon.

It's not funny that he's gay and does gay shit, it's funny that he's not gay and still does gay shit.

Yeah the whole funny thing with Mac was he was so into machismo that it became gay. A homo doing gay stuff there’s no joke there it’s just a fag being a fag.
