I believe the Obama administration deported more illegals than any prior Republican one, without even using MS-13 or other gangs/cartels as an excuse. 99% of the left didn't give a shit and no one reported on it.

Obama actually bragged about how many he deported and democrats didn’t care. For a time Biden would mention it when he started his run for 2020 but was told to stop it since now that’s a bad thing since Trump wants to / brags about deporting illegals.

The immigration issue shifted so far left in just 8 years. Obama wrote in his 2007 book about how he felt annoyed when people he interacted with couldn’t speak English. Hillary’s 2008 campaign ran on mandating immigrants who came here spoke English. It was a carryover from the Bill Clinton era of the party that focused on crime and security. Border security was an integral part of that.
Flash forward to 2016 and everyone became fucking braindead on the issue, mainly due to far left advocacy groups demanding Democrats take these positions. Suddenly the same people enforcing border security were espousing strange ideas about how borders shouldn’t exist, nations are abstract concepts, and no human being is illegal. Remember last year when Biden had to actually apologize for calling them illegal immigrants instead of “undocumented people”? And no one can tell me Biden, the 80 year old Dem, is some radical leftist who has sympathies for illegals. He was pressured to do that by retarded advocacy orgs.
Bernie is a great example. Anti-open borders since the 90’s. His 2020 campaign proclaims no human is illegal and we need amnesty. Then 5 years later he’s back to the same shit he was saying in the 90’s.
