Not that I don't hope for many suicides, didn't there used to be an 8chan? Was it not just the same thing? Seems like an easy thing to rebuild. Would be dope if everyone flooded Reddit and gave them a bunch of headaches in the meantime.

Josh Moon set that up a couple years back and I think it fell apart in a matter of weeks because it was flooded with KP. Nice publicly associating yourself with your new project when you know there's hundreds of people out there with an incentive to ruin you, stupid.
Speaking of Josh, I imagine a lot of anons will be flooding Kiwifarms as it's the most well-known alternative. That might lead to some laughs, given how crippingly stupid the average contemporary 4chan poster is. The oldfags will probably head to various niche forums like this one.

Jewsh didn't start 8chan up he was just a developer on the project. I don't know if "Hot Wheels" is the guy who started 8ch but he was the de facto face/owner of the site for the majority of its life. Jewsh had differences with the cripple and started his own imageboard project that was called 9ch i think but that was short lived as he killed it within a few months.

I had been seeing them daily for the last few months at least. Norton marrying the viking drew a fair ammount of attention and then the usual topics would pop up in its wake. Reading those threads you could tell there were some diehards but tbf I assumed most of them probably came here anyway. Too much up to date gossip like danny still being a wannabe eceleb and various nana drama

It was taken down by the owners, they could bring it online at any time.
Except... they hadn't update software packages for over a decade.
Because they are so old with deprecated functions and things, updating them would cause the site code to break.
So that would need updating but the code is just 20 years of patching old PHP scripts.
Its now a case of update and then patch as much as you can and hope that there are not still vulnerabilities or rewrite the entire site.
Either is not a fast process.
One of those sites I've never visited nor of which I see any value, but nonetheless felt secure and happy for its existence, knowing what sorts are corralled there away from the rest of us.
I am likewise grateful for Reddit, Facey B, DeviantArt, DigitalSpy, SFFWorld, Enty, and the big river at the border of my town where all the water & sewer rats congregate.

Isn't it better to keep the forum open? It's much easier for the glowies to honeytrap the dude's on 4chan and also keep track of the loose cannons. Usually, taking something away from people who are mentally ill, doesn't end well. The worse thing the government or lib fags should want is the 4chan guys to go underground.
