I like the episode of Buzzcocks where he made a load of funny, loud noises and then stood on the desk.

The Alan carr sitcom where it's him as a camp as fuck kid while his dad is manager of 1980s Northampton town is pretty funny for what it is. The fact it's actually based on reality is so weird. I can't imagine what on earth his dad thought about it all at the time.

Granted sitcoms these days aren't classics but it's the best of a bad bunch

Matt Morgan and Noel made that show any good by mocking Brand all the time. Matt was with Russell during his drug days so had all the good stories to take him down.

I have no doubt he raped or sexually assaulted people. He even talked on air about getting his dick out to suprise some random woman in the radio building and having sex with competition winners who would be in studio, pissing in bottles in the studio Infront of women etc

Him and others like Joe Brand might've been trite but they're comedy geniuses compared to the current crop of comedians the BBC puts in everything.

Frankie Boyle and Simon Amstell were fucking funny. Fuck knows where both are now but they basically completely changed what made them successful. I mean it was probably saving them from being cancelled but what exactly do they have now?

His early work is hilarious, I remember one show when he spent a week with some junkie poor people and bonded with them, to end the week by paying to have sex with the girl in front of the boyfriend.

There’s another thing where he got his first MTV tv show deal and on the first day of filming climbed on top of the production van and refused to come down, saying the show should in fact be him screaming at people naked on top of a van.

Some Americans think an English accent of any sort mixed with a verbose vocabulary is mixed with intellectual ability. Brand's dandyish foppish persona mixed with dark past is like catnip to some people searching for someone to follow. Even when he was purely a comic some of his fans were weird.

Yeah, Noel likes to pretend he has no opinions on anything other than The Beatles and The Who. They were best friends but I've seen no evidence of them together in probably 10ish years at this point.

I never cared for Boyle but I think the Amstell years of Buzzcocks is the best any panel show has ever been.
