When Massie, Roy, and Paul protested this, Trump screamed at them on the phone to vote for it, called them RINO’s on twitter, and whipped his base into attacking them. Any money being “cut” by DOGE isn’t actually being cut because Congress isn’t doing it’s job and actually removing the funding it’s appropriating for these programs. Most of the contracts DOGE is cancelling have already been paid out and they can’t get that money back. The estimated savings went from $2 trillion to a couple billion - A drop in the bucket.

Trump did propose taxing the rich to raise revenue but Conservatives shut that down immediately. Tariffs could raise revenues but if spending increases it doesn’t matter how much the tariffs pull in. Plus Trump is walking around talking about giving everyone $5000 DOGE checks because the Republican base are fucking niggers looking for free gibme handouts lmao.

First point: The only way we continue is to find a new war. America actually produces almost nothing, at this point. Besides tools of war. I will continue to be vague, but there is only one major company in my industry that is based out of America. Everyone else? Third point: I have said I’m not 100% certain in the current policies. What I see is a fundamental change in thought process. That people need to change their way of thinking. I can only speak for myself. I have noticed a huge change in people’s mentality, including illegal immigrants (yes I work with them, I can speak their languages) of how things need to work. The illegals are already becoming more patriotic, and supporting the deportations of the ones that aren’t. As an example, one of my subordinates was yelling at his friends about how they need to learn English. When I asked him about it, he tells me they don’t belong here. They don’t want to be here. I want to be here.

To your original points, yes. We have become a country who is happy with immense immorality. Solely because it’s convenient to us. I don’t disagree with tariffs and I think being protectionist, especially against China who is undoubtedly our enemy, is a good thing. iPhones being made in India are better than being made in China. We still get them for cheap and India is more of an ally than China.

The purpose of the tariffs just need to be communicated more consistently. If it’s to get China to negotiate lower tariffs on our products - Just say that. If it’s to get manufacturing to move out of China for national security concerns - Just say that. The messaging is all over the board though. Well Suester, I will educate you on the first point. America (pretty much every president since free trade) has imposed some level of tariffs and taxes on chink products. This isn’t an exaggeration, they will flood the markets with their cheap shit, run American companies out of business, buy them, then say “It’s made in America”. The points that you didn’t read before, articulates that they will still make IPhones in China. They will just ship them to India, and say they’re made in India. This is the bigger problem. There’s no good way of solving this, besides just saying fuck everyone, we’re done. Forcing them to ship to India is already not good for their economics, now they have to pay something regardless.

As far as the tariffs being “communicated”, it’s pretty clear to people who actually have to deal with this shit.
