I think his only reaction to Val Kilmer dying recently was he was sad because he played Batman once in a movie that was made for kids to sell toys and McDonald’s food. To him, that’s all Val Kilmer did - once did a movie in a rubber suit and wore a cape - and nothing else. Space, and aliens in general, are best used when you want to highlight bigotry, isolation, metaphors on humanity and self discovery.

But science fiction is so broad in spectrum that it can be used with nearly ANY setting.
