Yeah, one guy I distanced myself from for becoming a crazy drug addict as a teenager wound up ODing six years later, and I only found out like five years after the fact from randomly looking him up.

That's it really, nobody I grew up with wound up especially successful or well off.

Yeah I remember looking up a kid a grade younger than me I was cool with and he had murdered his wife and just took their baby to her parents' house hours away. Never said a word, not even at trial. His mugshot was fucking frightening, like he wasn't even human anymore. I remember her parents were still begging him to at least say why he did it and he never said a word.

He was the life of the party when we were growing up. It makes no sense at all.

Dude I went to high school with got shot to death by police. It was weird because he had no history of mental illness and no drugs were in his system but was pulled over in the freeway waving a tire iron at them. He was always a one of those kinda laid back dudes and apparently was doing well in the family business
