- To this day, SFWA has never acknowledged its funding of the lawsuit, and actively instructs the few people in the know to ignore all inquiries into it.

- Mr. Tomlinson's feud started after members of the now-defunct Reddit site r/opieandanthony got his Twitter account suspended, causing him to threaten some bored trolls who never heard of him with a libel lawsuit. The trolls responded predictably.
- Mr. Tomlinson has been instructed many times by friends, family, police, and attorneys to stop engaging with his trolls, and that continuing to provoke them will cause him to be trolled even more. Mr. Tomlinson wilfully ignores this advice

- He accidentally sent surveillance video of the alleged vandal (himself) to a troll.
- Mr. Tomlinson has never shown this video footage during any of his media tours, and desperately tries to scrub it from the internet.
- Mr. Tomlinson claims that the surveillance video was initiated by his "motion-activated" camera, which only collects "30 seconds at a time", despite the video being 32 seconds long and beginning several seconds before the "vandal" enters into the frame.
- On 13 April 2023, the individual responsible for calling the fake emergences (SWATs) to Mr. Tomlinson's house, a SWAT-for-hire dealer named "Torswats", revealed that Mr. Tomlinson ordered the SWATs to his own house because he wanted to get in the news and sue the MPD for money.
- Torswats would repeat these allegations in private chats which were not intended for public view.
- Mr. Tomlinson has gone on multiple news tours since the SWATtings started in order to promote his victimhood brand, utilizing the services of Lenora Claire.

I vividly remember that bull dyke Rachel Maddow going on Jon (Leibowitz) Stewart's show during the peak of the Bush Years.
It was when Jon was the self-appointed Moral Voice of The Country and everyone in media seemed to defer to him for some reason. He gave Rachel a gentle (not to be confused with gentile) talking to for her comparison of Bush to ole' Uncle A, which Rachel graciously accepted. The media anointed the conversation as some kind of beautiful moment of "both sides coming together." The clip was *the* media talking point for weeks.

I think Obama + Trump put into perspective Bush was just another bad President, not some unique evil. A war in the Middle East isn’t unprecedented, nor is one started on bullshit. A financial recession isn’t unprecedented. The NSA and the TSA? Like civil liberties weren’t already on the decline. And the fact that Obama kept all that shit and even ramped some of it up made people realize some of the shit they were criticizing Bush for was inherent to the state.

I don’t think so. If things continue to get worse and the cops don’t start enforcing laws to stop crime, people will start paying gangs and mafias to protect their neighborhoods. There’ll be no due process so criminals will get merked before they even commit a crime.
If that happens, the state will bring back stop and frisk because they can’t get let some other security / police force outperform them, especially if it’s private.
